Diamond Hole Saw Size Guide

Pick the hole size first, then the series that suits your material. Sizes are the nominal diameter of the hole the saw cuts.

How to choose a size

  • Measure the outside diameter of what has to pass through the hole – the pipe, the faucet shank, the fitting – not its nominal pipe size.
  • Check the fixture's instructions: faucets, dispensers and air switches usually state the hole size they need.
  • When in doubt, go one size up for clearance. A hole cannot be made smaller.
  • For holes under 1", see small diamond drill bits. For 1–3mm holes, see the sea glass bit size guide.
