• Mark & Start: Mark your center point. With the pilot bit installed, drill at low speed until the diamond rim cuts a shallow guide ring about 1/8 inch deep.
• Remove the Pilot: Loosen the set screw with the included hex key and remove the pilot bit. The guide ring now keeps the hole saw on track and prevents binding.
• Drill Wet at Low Speed: Keep the cut wet with a steady stream of water and use a low speed (about 300–500 RPM) with light, steady pressure.
• Complete the Cut: Let the diamonds do the work until you break through. For glass, skip the pilot bit and start the cut on a guide or template.
