The Drilax 7/8 Inch Chrome Series Diamond Hole Saw drills clean, round 7/8 inch holes in glass, porcelain, ceramic, tile, granite, quartz and marble. A triple layer of electroplated diamond on a solid steel body grinds through hard, brittle materials instead of chipping them, and the bright chrome nickel finish resists rust. With a 1-1/8 inch depth of cut and a standard 3/8 inch shank, it works in the drill you already own. It is sized for RO faucet holes, small conduit and drain openings.
Benefits
Triple-Layer Diamond Coating: Electroplated diamond grit grinds smooth, round holes without cracking tile or glass.
1-1/8" Depth of Cut: Taller body for thick tile, countertops and glass in one pass.
Side Cooling Slots: Let water in and debris out, and make it easy to remove the core.
3/8" Standard Shank: Fits standard corded and cordless drills and drill presses, no adapter needed.

How To Use
How To Use
- Mark & Wet: Mark the hole and add a puddle of water, or spray or drip water on the spot.
- Start at an Angle: Hold the drill at about 45 degrees and drill slowly to cut a C-shaped groove. A scrap-wood template taped to the surface also keeps the bit from wandering.
- Bring to Vertical: Slowly bring the drill upright and keep the cut wet.
- Light Pressure: Use low speed and let the diamonds do the work. Dip the bit in water every 20–30 seconds and push the core out through the side slot.
Use Cases

- Electrical: Holes for 1/2 inch conduit in tile and cement board.
- Planters & Bottles: Drainage holes in pots and holes in glass bottles.

F.A.Q.
F.A.Q.
Q: What materials can it drill?
A: Glass, porcelain, ceramic tile, granite, quartz, marble and natural stone. It is not designed for concrete, brick, metal or wood.
Q: Do I need water?
A: Yes. This is a wet-use bit. Keep the cut wet to cool the diamonds, control dust and get a clean, chip-free hole.
Q: How do I start without a pilot bit?
A: Start at about a 45 degree angle to cut a small groove, then bring the drill upright. A scrap-wood template with a matching hole also works.
Q: Will it fit my drill?
A: Yes. The 3/8 inch standard shank fits most corded and cordless drills and drill presses.
Q: What is the difference between Chrome and Vacuum Brazed hole saws?
A: Chrome Series bits have an electroplated diamond coating and are a great value for glass, tile and occasional stone work. Vacuum brazed bits have a thicker diamond layer for heavy use on granite and quartz.
