The Drilax 1-3/4 inch Diamond Hole Saw is designed for clean, controlled drilling through hard materials such as concrete, stone, tile, porcelain, and granite. Built for professional use, this Pro Series hole saw features vacuum brazed diamond technology for consistent cutting performance and long service life.

With a standard 5/8"-11 threaded connection, this diamond hole saw is compatible with most angle grinders and core drilling tools. It can be used for wet or dry drilling, making it suitable for jobsite work, renovations, and precision installations.

Key Features

  • 1-3/4 inch diamond hole saw for concrete, stone, tile, and masonry
  • Vacuum brazed diamond grit for efficient, controlled cutting
  • 5/8"-11 threaded connection fits most angle grinders
  • Suitable for wet or dry drilling applications
  • Side slots help with cooling and debris removal
  • Designed for professional and serious DIY use

Compatible Materials

  • Materials: Quartz, granite, concrete, brick, masonry, porcelain tile, ceramic tile, marble, and slate.
  • Tool Compatibility: Direct mounting on 5/8"-11 threaded angle grinders. Compatible with standard power drills only if used with a separate hex adapter.
  • Note: Not for use on glass, mirrored surfaces, or fragile decorative tiles.

How To Use

  • Angle Grinder Mounting: Thread the hole saw directly onto the 5/8"-11 spindle of your angle grinder. Ensure the connection is tight before operation.
  • Starting the Cut: Start at a 45-degree angle to create a "crescent" notch. This prevents the bit from wandering. Once the groove is established, slowly tilt the tool to a 90-degree angle.
  • You can also cut a guide out of scrap wood. that will hold and guide the tool in place.
  • Operating Technique: Use high RPMs and light, steady pressure. Let the vacuum-brazed diamonds do the cutting; do not force the tool into the material.
  • Heat Management: For deep cuts in stone or masonry, periodically back the bit out of the hole to clear dust and allow the air-cooled side slots to manage heat buildup.

Use Cases

  • Plumbing & Drain Lines: Perfectly sized for passing 1-1/2" pipe sleeves and specialized drainage lines through porcelain tile floors and masonry.
  • Electrical & Utilities: Ideal for creating precise pass-throughs for larger conduit and utility lines in stone or brick walls.
  • Kitchen & Bath Renovation: Drilling clean holes for specialized plumbing fixtures and oversized faucet assemblies in granite, quartz, and marble.
  • Masonry Installations: Core drilling for architectural hardware, anchors, or venting in brick, block, and natural stone surfaces.
