The Drilax 4-1/4 Inch Chrome Series Diamond Hole Saw cuts clean, round 4-1/4 inch openings in porcelain, ceramic, tile, glass, granite, quartz and marble. A triple layer of electroplated diamond on a solid steel body grinds through hard, brittle materials instead of cracking them, so you get a smooth hole without an angle grinder. It has a 1-1/8 inch depth of cut and a standard 3/8 inch shank that fits the drill you already own. It is sized for drain holes, shower and faucet work, and kitchen and bathroom upgrades.
Benefits
Triple-Layer Diamond Coating: Electroplated diamond grit on a notched rim grinds clean, chip-free holes in tile, stone and glass.
Solid Steel Body: Spins true with less wobble, even on a hand drill, and holds up to repeated large cuts.
1-1/8" Depth of Cut: Clears full tile and backer board, and thick countertops.
3/8" Standard Shank: Fits standard corded and cordless drills and drill presses, no adapter needed.
Key Features

How To Use
How To Use
- Mark & Wet: Mark the hole and add water, or spray or drip water on the spot. A ring of plumber's putty makes a small water dam.
- Start at an Angle: Hold the drill at a slight angle and drill slowly to cut a C-shaped groove. A scrap-wood template with a matching hole also keeps the bit from wandering.
- Bring to Vertical: Slowly bring the drill upright and keep the cut wet.
- Light Pressure: Use low speed and let the diamonds do the work. Dip the bit in water every 20–30 seconds.
Use Cases
Use Cases
- Drains: Drain holes in tile floors and showers.
- Bath & Kitchen: Shower and faucet upgrades in tile and stone.
- Countertops: Clean holes in granite, quartz and marble.
- Glass: Large holes in glass panels.

F.A.Q.
F.A.Q.
Q: What materials can it drill?
A: Porcelain, ceramic tile, glass, granite, quartz, marble and natural stone. It is not designed for concrete, brick, metal or wood.
Q: Do I need water?
A: Yes. This is a wet-use bit. Keep the cut wet to cool the diamonds, control dust and get a clean, chip-free hole. Running it dry wears the diamond coating quickly.
Q: How do I start without a pilot bit?
A: Start at a slight angle to cut a small groove, then bring the drill upright. A scrap-wood template with a matching hole also works.
Q: Will it fit my drill?
A: Yes. The 3/8 inch standard shank fits most corded and cordless drills and drill presses.
Q: What is the difference between Chrome and Vacuum Brazed hole saws?
A: Chrome Series bits have an electroplated diamond coating and are a great value for tile, glass and occasional stone work. Vacuum brazed bits have a tougher diamond layer for heavy use on granite and quartz.
