Drilax 4-Inch Diamond Hole Saw is built for large-diameter drilling in tough construction materials where precision and control matter. Designed for use with angle grinders or standard drills (adapter included), this vacuum-brazed diamond hole saw delivers fast, clean cuts for professional trades and demanding installation work.

Key Features

  • Large-Diameter Cutting Performance
4-inch hole size is ideal for drains, vents, pipe sleeves, and large pass-through installations.
  • Dual Tool Compatibility
5/8"-11 threaded body fits standard angle grinders; includes adapter for use with electric drills.
  • Dry Drilling Optimized
Designed for dry cutting with integrated side slots that improve cooling and debris removal.
  • 1-3/8" Cutting Depth
Handles thick tile, stone slabs, and masonry surfaces in a single pass.
  • Vacuum-Brazed Diamond Edge
Industrial-grade diamonds permanently bonded to a rigid steel core for consistent cutting and long service life.

Compatible Materials

  • Materials: Porcelain tile, ceramic tile, granite, quartz, marble, slate, brick, block, and non-reinforced masonry.
  • Tool Compatibility: Direct fit for standard angle grinders (5/8"-11 thread); also fits all standard power drills (Ryobi, Milwaukee, DeWalt, etc.) via the included adapter.
  • Warning: Not recommended for glass, mirrored surfaces, or fragile decorative tiles.

How To Use

  • Angle Grinder Mounting: Thread the hole saw directly onto the 5/8"-11 spindle of your angle grinder. Start the cut at a slight 45-degree angle to create a "crescent" guide, then slowly tilt the tool upright once the diamonds begin to bite.
  • Standard Drill Mounting: Use the included adapter to connect the hole saw to any standard 1/2" or 3/8" drill chuck.
  • Operating Technique: Operate at a high RPM. Use light, controlled pressure and allow the tool to do the work. Avoid forcing the bit.
  • Heat Management: Due to the large surface area of a 4-inch cut, pause the tool periodically during extended drilling sessions to allow the air-cooled side slots to dissipate heat.

Use Cases

  • Plumbing & Drainage: Ideal for installing standard floor drains and shower drain assemblies.
  • HVAC & Ventilation: Perfect for drilling large-diameter vent lines and ducting pass-throughs in masonry or tile.
  • Countertop & Slab Work: Creating access ports or large plumbing penetrations in thick quartz and granite surfaces.
  • Electrical: Installing large conduit sleeves and electrical junction boxes in stone or brick walls.
