The Drilax 2 Inch Diamond Core Drill Bit delivers clean and precise results for drilling through tough masonry materials. Engineered for heavy-duty performance, the diamond coating is sintered within the material so it does not wear off like traditional plated bits. This ensures reliable, long-term performance without the need for a pilot hole or expensive specialized equipment.
Benefits
Universal Drill Fit: No need for expensive SDS equipment; works with standard 3-jaw chucks in cordless or electric drills.
Sintered Technology: Provides aggressive cutting in hard masonry and stone with significantly higher heat resistance than standard bits.
Clean, Chip-Free Results: Balanced for high-torque rotary drilling to ensure smooth edges in granite, marble, and masonry.
Compatible Materials
Compatible Materials
- Materials: Brick walls, concrete blocks, stucco, foundation slabs, natural stone, cinder block, and pavers.
- Tool Compatibility: Works with all standard 3/8" or 1/2" corded and cordless drills (DeWalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, Makita).
- Pro Series Tip: For sizes in this series that do not include a guide, we recommend creating a simple template out of scrap wood to ensure a perfect start.
- Warning: Not recommended for glass, mirrored surfaces, or delicate decorative tiles.
How To Use
How To Use
- Drill Mounting: This bit features a universal 3/8 inch shank that fits directly into any standard corded or cordless power drill. No specialized adapters are required.
- Starting the Cut: Since this model does not include a mechanical guide, we recommend creating a simple guide template out of scrap wood or plastic. Alternatively, start the cut at a 45-degree angle to notch the surface, then slowly bring the tool upright to 90 degrees.
- Operating Technique: Use a steady, moderate speed. Apply light, controlled pressure and let the sintered diamond teeth do the cutting. Do not use the hammer setting on your drill.
- Heat Management: Although engineered for dry use, using a wet sponge or a small stream of water will keep the bit cool and significantly reduce dust.
- Safety Note: Avoid contact with rebar. If rebar is encountered, stop drilling immediately to prevent damage to the sintered teeth.

- Kitchen & Bath Remodeling: Ideal for creating precise openings in granite, quartz, or marble countertops for faucet sets and soap dispensers.
- Electrical & Utilities: Running electrical conduit or security camera wiring through exterior brick or stucco walls.
- Outdoor Construction: Drilling through concrete pavers, slabs, or stone veneer for landscaping lighting and fence posts.

F.A.Q.
F.A.Q.
Q: Can I use this bit with a regular cordless drill?
A: Yes, the 3/8 inch shank is designed to fit standard cordless and electric hand drills.
Q: Does it need a pilot drill?
A: No. Center pilot bits are mostly for wood or metal. For masonry, use the angled-start method or a guide to prevent the bit from walking.
Q: Is water cooling required?
A: No. This is a heavy-duty dry core bit. However, using water as a coolant will significantly extend the life of the diamonds and provide a cleaner cut.
Q: How deep can I drill?
A: This bit is designed for a maximum drilling depth of 2 inches, perfect for standard foundation blocks and slabs.
